2024 - Tomorrow’s Light Shelter

With the rapid development of social economy, the gap between the rich and the poor is gradually widening, and social problems are also increasing. When most people eat delicious food at home, fall asleep in a warm bed and enjoy the warmth of home, some people can only rely on begging food or food picked up in the garbage to satisfy their hunger, and they can only spend the night in the aisles, under the bridge opening or on the street, and sometimes they are even oppressed. They are a special group called ”tramps” by everyone. As an important group in society, as college students, we have the obligation and responsibility, and we need to give our love and care to this special group. We need to help them with our own actions and strength, and let them feel the love and true feelings of the world.
The design goal of tomorrow’s light shelter is to provide a safe, comfortable and warm temporary shelter for homeless people, help them gradually get out of the predicament, reintegrate into society, and inspire their confidence and hope in life. The design of this small homeless shelter is a bionic form of eggshell, and then make full use of the open space in the city to build a degradable and easy-to-build temporary house. At the same time, people who live in the building can also ”dig holes” according to their own needs, so that sunlight can enter the building through the hole, which can not only strengthen the interaction between homeless people and buildings, but also increase the interaction with sunlight.
