The Daylight&Architecture Magazine (D/A Magazine) was published between 2005 and 2018 by the VELUX Group and targeted architects, designers, building professionals and anyone with an interest in the discourse on natural light and the built environment. The 29 issues went far beyond architecture. The message was a cultural one and not a commercial one. This fact contributed to the magazine’s great esteem among all those interested in daylight and it was recognized by numerous juries that awarded magazine prizes, both for its graphic design and its editorial content. The magazine explored the theme of daylight in buildings through discussions and discoveries from internationally-renowned professionals ranging from the scientific to the artistic.

As a manufacturer of roof windows and skylights, the daily business of the VELUX Group is closely linked to daylight provision in buildings and the company´s vision for the magazine has therefore been to encourage practicing architects and researchers to explore and work with daylight as one of the most fundamental parameters of architecture.
The digital versions preserve the legacy of the original magazine, and you will find that they are still worth reading today. The online content will be continually expanded in the years to come to continue to inspire and foster collaborations between professionals and practitioners.
