The Echoes of Light Project has a system called The Time-Warp facade combines dynamic panels with Capiz seashell lenses to capture and manipulate sunlight, highlighting the interior. In addition to increasing the visual impact, this “Time-Warp Reflection” simulates various times of day by filling the space inside with natural light. Future daylighting using this creative method has the potential to be very revolutionary, creating situations where light responds to our moods and even gives the illusion of a sunrise on a rainy day. Its all about bringing the outside world into our everyday life in a seamless way and using natural light to nurture creativity, joy, and peace regardless of the outside environment, strengthening our connection to our surroundings. Also, Capiz shells have been used in traditional Filipino handicrafts for centuries. The shells were originally used in indigenous architecture, as they are lightweight and translucent, allowing natural light to enter homes without compromising privacy. Some believe that shells are symbols of prosperity and good luck, while others associate them with protection against negative energy.

The Echoes of Light Project was conceived with a building encased in steel, symbolizing both power and artistic expression. Situated in a busy, noisy area, the project aims to create an oasis-like environment where guests can escape the madness and feel comfortable. The Time-Warp facade employs a system of movable panels that rotate and shift angles, adapting to the position of the sun throughout the day. By adjusting to a 45-degree angle, the panels maximize sunlight entry, enhancing natural illumination inside and reducing the need for artificial lighting. This not only creates a visually engaging exterior but also promotes energy efficiency.
