More than 4 billion people now live in urban areas, while by 2050, the city’s population is expected to reach 7 billion people. Such an increase may significantly influence living conditions in all cities, decrease accommodation affordance and reduce comfort of citizens. While now high costs of land even lead to lack of shared spaces, the problem may intensify even stronger in upcoming decades. The project of reflecting glass panels is supposed to help to upcycle areas, which could become a shared space, but are dark and unattractive. Glass illumination structures offer versatile applications across various types of buildings, enhancing natural light, improving energy efficiency, and providing aesthetic and functional benefits.
