Our design proposal is a dried flower production system for a flower field. The design scheme is located in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, where the surrounding environment is rich and diverse, characterised by abundant light, suitable temperature, abundant rainfall and long sunshine hours, which is suitable for the growth of flowers. By analysing the people who use the site and the needs of the people who use it. It is found that the internal problems of the site are the need for special dry flower drying devices, the need to increase the space for activities and communication, and specific solution strategies are proposed. In the context of the perishability of flowers and the expensive transport, dried flower commodities appear, and dried flower commodities are made through the way of flower drying to meet the needs of flower growers, to achieve the efficient use of space, to solve the site of the dry flower setup, to take full advantage of the abundant light resources in the local area, to relieve the The sunshine is strong, and the space for communication activities is increased. The design programme revolves around light and flowers. Responding to the UN Sustainable Development Goal of ”Good Health and Well-being” and in line with China’s rural revitalisation strategy, the design emphasises the dismantling of the sunlight component, placing the most avoided sunlight in modern light environments in a traditional context, and playing its role in sunlighting fresh produce to volatilise water and prolong shelf-life. This programme not only enhances the added value of the flower industry, extends the ornamental period of flowers also through clever design, the combination of modern technology and traditional tanning techniques, to achieve the perfect fusion of green environmental protection and artistic creation. The core of the design scheme is to make full use of Kunming’s sunshine advantage, through the design of the metal frame pulley device and transparent fishing line, to achieve the efficient drying of flowers. This design not only meets the needs of ventilation and sunlight exposure, but also makes clever use of light and shadow effects to project splashes of colour onto the ground, creating a beautiful natural beauty of flowers, together with petal floodlights. The modular design idea gives the device a high degree of adaptability and flexibility, enabling it to be quickly adjusted according to site conditions to meet the needs of different scenes. The implementation of this scheme not only injects new vitality into the rose planting site, but also serves as a cultural and information exchange platform connecting tourists and villagers, promoting both local economic and cultural development. With this design, we expect to bring a lasting positive impact on the flower industry and community life in Kunming.
