The beaches of Rio de Janeiro, iconic symbols of tourism, function primarily as leisure areas, accessible to diverse segments of the population. On scorching days, with temperatures reaching up to 40ºC, the beaches overflow with people from all corners of the city. However, during the night, despite temperatures around 27ºC (still considerably warm), a contrasting scenario unfolds: vibrant daytime locales turn eerily deserted.
