The Museum’s main goal was to solve the problem of providing sunlight to the central part of the building. A light tube was designed to reflect sunlight inside itself and bring it to the interior of the building. This solution allows for illumination of rooms without windows. The system of reflecting sunlight using mirrors was already used in ancient Egypt. The designed concept is an attempt to develop old technology. The project is ecological and energy-saving because it uses only sunlight. This saves energy on every sunny day. The system can also be illuminated with artificial light at night, which reduces the need to install large amounts of lighting. The light pipe inside the building resembles a column supporting the ceiling. This creates the illusion that the building was built on glass columns full of light. Thanks to this, the system is not only practical, but also aesthetic. This is important because many useful architectural solutions often disfigure buildings. The essence of design is to combine function and beauty. This was the primary goal of the Museum. It was created out of the desire to create functional, ecological, and aesthetic objects. Nowadays, it is very important to combine all these elements equally without ignoring any of them. Thanks to this, not only will we benefit, but also nature, which we must protect at all costs.
