In the mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam, the rate of mountain children going to school is very small, mostly because the road from home to school is very dangerous and difficult because of dangerous mountain terrain and distance. Students often wake up early to go to school before dawn and return home when it is dark. Many students have been injured on the way to school due to accidents because they can’t see the road. The project proposes an optimal lighting system from solar cells to help children go to school more safely.

In terms of structure, the lamp posts are made from local materials, using bamboo to create the frame. The canopy is woven from plastic fibers cut from plastic bottles. The weaving technique is applied from the traditional weaving craft of ethnic minorities here. The children can participate in creating these shelters by themselves, this can be considered a fun activity for children here, who are very lacking in fun activities. The top of the canopy is installed with solar batteries and the lights will light up every time the sky gets dark.

During the day, sunlight penetrates through the roof, creating colorful flowers sunshine, which helps stimulate the spirit and attract children to school. Whether day or night, the canopy system is still very prominent to orient the child’s path, avoiding the case of the child getting lost. At the same time, when standing from above, parents can also monitor the path to school. of the children. The project’s purpose is to ensure safety for children on their journey to school.
