In Gaza, which has been plagued by war for years, a large number of innocent people have died because of the lack of protective facilities. And the only protective measures, it is dark. It was unbearable to live day after day in the darkness with no hope in sight.

Our design was to build prefabricated shelters for people in refugee camps in Gaza. This light-allowing shelter is made of a new material, UHPC, which makes it impossible for projectiles to penetrate walls and keep people safe. At the same time, we used optical fiber to install a light guide system on the top of the shelter, collecting light through small holes and passing it into the room after collection, bringing LIGHT to people hiding from war in the dark, but also bringing them FIATH to LIVE.

In our vision, the war will surely end. The shelter after the war would be an important part of rebuilding the city. It could be a war memorial museum, a daily prayer room, a pavilion in a park, etc. The important thing is that it will be part of history. The avoidable damage to the exterior of the shelter will always be a REIMINDER of the importance of peace, and the LIGHT through the hole left will be the symbol of the survivors.
