Light of the field
By studying the self-luminous habits of firefly in the natural ecological area, this project designs natural lighting buildings for tourists.
We found that firefly is endangered due to the expansion of human activities, in order to protect firefly. To make a device suitable for natural ecological areas, hidden in the field.
After studying the growth habits of firefly and their biological chains, we found that the living conditions of firefly are very harsh, and we decided to establish an ecological chain with a firefly breeding device in the device, which will make firefly not affected by natural enemies, increase their survival rate, and the nearby environment is also suitable for spawning and mating places, further increasing their reproductive success rate. In terms of food, firefly rely on snails as one of their main foods. Therefore, after studying the growth habits of snails, the device is equipped with a small device to attract snails, providing a food source for firefly to ensure the survival and reproduction of firefly.
In real life, artificial lighting will destroy the natural ecology. Through research and analysis, firefly as a natural light source, will not destroy the natural ecology. Therefore, we choose firefly instead of traditional street lamps to provide lighting for passengers. In terms of materials, we chose to use translucent materials for the installation, so that the firefly can illuminate the field. We expect this installation to be distributed around the world, providing habitat for endangered firefly and illuminating every traveler who needs light. In terms of morphology, we chose the bionic cocoon, and sliced it to make it disappear in the field, connected with a square firefly breeding device, and dug several holes so that travelers could enter and exit freely. We expect this installation to be distributed around the world, providing habitat for endangered firefly and illuminating every traveler who needs light. On the night of the hike, the traveler can step into it, bathe in the stars, listen to the wind, and enjoy the peace and tranquility. firefly twinkle like stars, illuminating the curtain of the night and guiding the way home for travelers. The sky, which can be reached, seems to be a bright tapestry of nature, which traverses people’s hearts to the vast expanse of the universe.
