The proposed building is part of a glassworks complex. This complex includes the glassworks itself, a hostel section, and a representative building that fits perfectly into the theme of the competition. The building’s form, which combines production, hostel, and representative functions, makes the project unique and attractive. The aim of the representative section is to connect the glassworks with the part accessible to visitors and guests. The exhibition’s main focus is to interest visitors in the glass production process and the finished products. Typically, people can only see these in stores, in an extremely limited form, but thanks to the designed exhibition, it is possible to present more monumental and spectacular glass products, allowing people to appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of said glassworks. The exhibition space has been designed in such a way that light and glass can display their most beautiful aspects. The play of light on the glass creates unique and interesting visual effects that fit perfectly into the theme of the competition. The constantly changing, natural light and glass form an inseparable pair and interesting visual effects, further highlighting the beauty of the exhibited products. A major advantage of the exhibition is its spaciousness. The space on the ground floor is open, allowing the exhibitions to be viewed from a higher perspective as well, providing diverse visual experiences. The building’s facade is designed to reflect its function. The building connects the interior and exterior through the sculpture exhibition. The exhibition in front of the building relates to what is inside, encouraging entry and exploration. A major advantage of the sculptures is their colorful light diffusion throughout the building, which affects the perception of space and stimulates visitors’ imagination. The colorful light passing through the sculptures creates a magical atmosphere that engages and inspires visitors, making the visit to the building an unforgettable experience. This integration of art, technology, and architecture ensures that the proposed building not only serves a functional purpose but also becomes a cultural and educational element, promoting knowledge about glass and its production in a modern and attractive way.
