Light is the source of existence, objects gain depth by shining light and shadow behind them. Light in architecture is an artistic game which creates a masterpiece. In addition, in many cultures, light is a divine element, also in interior decoration is very important for us.
In architecture, stimulating and dynamic space can be created through light. Tadao Ando, Louis Kahn, and Le Corbusier and many great architects have mentioned the importance of light as well. In our design, we have tried to make this element (light) as the main basis for creating form. Spherical forms are utilized to show the light.
Our idea in this building is derived from the growth of a plant. The form of the building and its facade are such that when the light shines on it, the appearance of the building is similar to a plant just emerged from the soil and started to grow. According to the shell that we have defined on the building, on both sides of the restaurant, a gap has been created in the facade, through which the light enters the space beautifully.
The roof, the fifth facade in many buildings, is another smart way to attract light. Our plan is divided into two parts and there is an empty space between these two parts. The light coming from the ceiling and shining on these parts provides a pleasant and dreamy atmosphere for customers.
By moving each of these pieces back and forth on each floor, a game with light is created, which creates a different viewing angle on each floor and each part. The shape of the building is reminiscent of the shape of the sun, and among other ideas in this building, apart from the use of sunlight, green architecture and technology are considered inside this building. The structure of the roofs, and in addition, GFRC concrete is used in this structure, which represents the technology in this building.
In general, for the design of this building, we were inspired by great architects, among whom we can mention Le Corbusier and Tadao Ando. The building is placed on the pilot and this was one of Le Corbusier’s rules in design and about facade section was inspired by Tadao Ando’s designs, as he presented concrete, which is a hard material, in a soft form, we also tried to make our structure, even though its material is concrete, with a flexible and soft design.
This building is placed like a pilot between two streets and has a shortcut mode for people, which makes them pass under it even though they do not intend to enter the restaurant, and this shows the humility and social interaction of the structure. All our efforts have been to make the space under the restaurant a place for people to gather and assemble, remarking that the use of our building is a restaurant, it should be a social space with many interactions.
The entrance of the restaurant is located below and makes people see the green space below. As a pilot-shaped, it greatly affects their mood; besides, this condition makes the entrance of the building special. For this reason, the green space is placed under the pilot of green space where people can sit and enjoy the space and socialize together.
Furthermore, another idea used for green architecture in this building is that they give people a lemon plant for the first order, and as much as this plant grows, customers are given the same amount of discount. In terms of technology, efforts have been made to make the roof of the building as well as its facade with modern technology and be advanced. Finally, it can be pointed out that light was the main element for the formation of this building and also for the formation of its facade, and in addition to the light, attention to technology and green architecture can be seen in this building. Another important feature is that this building creates a space for people to gather in which our biggest desire was to show light and increase social interaction and respect for customers and audience.
