This installation is installed at the community border with a huge gap between the rich and the poor. The curtain wall can still be seen as a wall physically, but people on both sides of the installation can see the shadows of the other side in the sun. At the same time, the solar panels on the top of the curtain wall can store energy so that the lights can still project shadows onto the curtain at night. People could interact in various ‘equal’ ways through the shadows on the curtain, such as greeting, dancing, etc. This project aims to redefine the wall, encourage people to use the shadows to interact and eliminate the sense of distance and inequality caused by social class. Although people on both sides of the wall have different quality of life due to some social reasons, they should still be able to communicate with the other side as their shadows are the same black.
