Seasonal workers play a crucial role in the agricultural sector, especially during harvest periods. However, their working conditions are often challenging and insecure. Housing facilities are inadequate, and they are usually forced to live in temporary and unhealthy shelters. They work long hours for low wages without job security and have limited access to healthcare services. Their children, deprived of educational opportunities, may have to work alongside their families in the fields. Lacking social rights, these workers are constantly on the move due to the nature of seasonal work, making it difficult for them to maintain a social life and leading to social isolation. Additionally, due to unhealthy living conditions and unprotected working environments, they are at risk of being bitten by disease-carrying insects such as mosquitoes. This can lead to the spread of malaria and other serious diseases, sometimes resulting in the loss of lives. All these hardships negatively impact the quality of life for seasonal workers and hinder their ability to build a sustainable future.
