Ecorural is a space designed to create unbreakable bonds between two farming families, a modern home that breathes peace, and a connection with the rural area in Bogotá, Colombia. In this architectural project, coexistence prevails as the fundamental pillar that unites these families. Usme, with its rich history and vibrant daily life, becomes the setting for this home that seeks to foster integration, sharing, and joint growth.
Each family has skills in agriculture, promoting sustainability and the manual work of farmers harvesting their food and maintaining their skills in the rural area. Every space in this house, from its rooms to its cozy corners, is designed for interaction and the development of strong relationships among its inhabitants.
Inspired by the warmth and hospitality of Colombia, every architectural detail reflects the welcoming spirit and cultural diversity of Usme. It projects a place where the color green not only adorns the walls but becomes a symbol of constant growth, renewal, and connection with the surrounding nature.
In this house, harmony is felt in the air, like a melody that invites you to celebrate community life, united by our traditions and the values that unite Colombians. Every form, line, and texture in this architectural work has a purpose: to reflect the bonding between both families and their local environment. From the elegance of modern lines to the openness of spaces that invite integration, everything in this home is designed to strengthen bonds and create lasting memories intertwined with the history and spirit of Usme.
Imagine a sunny afternoon in the patio, where both families share laughter and unforgettable experiences while enjoying the natural beauty the city offers, or a quiet night in the living room, where stories intertwine. This project goes beyond being a simple architectural construction; it is a revelation of how design can transform lives and generate a positive impact on coexistence and human development. It is a call to discover the beauty of sharing, growing, and building memories hand in hand with nature.
In every detail of this house lies the essence of Usme and Colombia, a fusion of tradition, modernity, and a love for coexistence. It is a home where stories intertwine, and each day is an opportunity to strengthen the bonds that unite them as family and community.
In the world of architecture and design, light is a fundamental element that shapes our spaces and emotions. Ecorural seeks to capture the essence of light and connection with nature. Conceived as a place where sunlight gently filters through large windows, flooding every corner with warm and welcoming brightness, envisioning how this could be materialized in the project, where spaces open to the landscape, inviting nature to be an integral part of a gratifying experience. The project is not just about walls and roofs; it is a symphony of light and the expansiveness of its spaces.
It was designed to maximize the entry of natural light, creating environments that breathe and transform throughout the day. Upon entering our rural house, one is immersed in a constant dialogue with nature and the large windows that frame panoramic views that change with the seasons, while natural materials such as wood and stone harmoniously integrate, reminding us of the connection with the environment, reflected in a rectangular and stepped figure, giving an emotional impact with the light, demonstrating that it not only illuminates our spaces but also our emotions.
Ecorural seeks to create an environment where calm and serenity are part of the daily experience; every corner has been designed to invite reflection and rest, away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. The project is more than a house; it is a refuge that celebrates light, space, ecology, and harmony with nature.
The house creates an emotion of sharing and an inspiration in the exploration of light and spaciousness through light ducts, as these elements achieve a view of the luminescent reflection that can be evidenced in each element through which light refracts, passing through every space and corner of the house. The result is the use of natural light during the day, without the need for artificial lights, with a gratifying focus on minimizing energy use to illuminate the harmonious spaces of the house.
