“Exploring reality through light”

Problem Introduction: Light is an essential element that profoundly affects our perception and experience of the world around us. However, we often underestimate its importance and the impact it has on our daily lives and our understanding of reality. ConLuX, which stands for “Light Consciousness”, aims to explore and highlight the importance of light through an experimental journey that invites visitors to learn and reflect on our realities through different light configurations.

Detailed Description of Specific Problems: In today’s society, many visitors to public and exhibition spaces are unaware of the crucial role that light plays in their perception and well-being. This lack of awareness can lead to an undervaluation of lighting design in architectural and urban environments, negatively affecting the user experience.

Proposed Solution: ConLuX is an exhibition project consisting of five experimental spaces, each designed to explore different aspects of light, its forms and colors. The tour will guide visitors through these rooms, allowing them to experience first-hand how light can transform spaces and perceptions. A zenithal tube will be the central element connecting the rooms and orchestrating the light phenomena.

Project Details:

  • Five Experimental Spaces: Each room will offer a unique experience with light, focusing on different states and light phenomena.
  • Zenithal Tube: This element will play a leading role, allowing natural light to enter and direct the lighting configuration in each space.
  • Social Configuration: The layout of the spaces will allow visitors to interact socially around light, fostering a greater appreciation and understanding of its importance.
  • Learning Through Light: The educational tour will allow visitors to learn about the diverse realities that light can reveal, modifying their perception and understanding of their surroundings.

Context and Scope: ConLuX is designed to be a temporary or permanent installation in museums, cultural centers and public spaces where it can attract a wide audience. The installation not only has the potential to educate visitors about light, but can also influence designers, architects and urban planners to consider more deeply the use of light in their projects.

Conclusion: ConLuX seeks to transform the way people perceive and value light in their environment. Through an interactive and educational tour, visitors will be able to explore and understand the multiple realities that light can reveal. This experience has the potential to significantly impact both individual consciousness and social and architectural design, promoting a deeper appreciation and more considered application of light in our everyday spaces.
