Reading and connectivity are essential for boosting the soul and mind, as well as finding a suitable place to be immersed in an alternate world, even if only for a few hours. Seeking places of peace or areas where ideas can be developed from an academic level to cultural and intellectual growth, we are drawn to spaces that align with these ideals and to people who need or enjoy attending them.
Our main objective is to create a space that allows people to rediscover the identity of their city and also discover themselves through reading in spaces that reflect peace and harmony, fostering coexistence with people and nature. We aspire for the space to resonate with the essence of people’s identities.
The project uses materials that are easily accessible for both public and private organizations seeking to implement reading areas, including reused materials that can be given a new life, such as sheet metal for ceilings, bricks for walls, and metal supports. These materials support the lighter parts of the structure, creating a feeling of permanence and stability. Additionally, the design is intended to be replicable and adaptable to different implementation areas.
