Now that the regional winners of IVA2018 have been selected, it is time to start preparing for the next step of the award; From the 28th to the 30th of November the International VELUX Award will be taking part in the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in Amsterdam.

World Architecture Festival is dedicated to celebrating, sharing and inspiring outstanding architecture. It is the only architecture event where keynote talks from the industry’s most influential figures sit alongside a global awards programme where architects present their completed buildings and future projects live to a panel of internationally renowned judges and delegates from around the world. This year the festival takes place at RAI Amsterdam.

At the festival, the winning students will have the opportunity to explore the event and tour the city. The teams will also be given time to workshop and prepare their presentations, practicing in front of each other before presenting to the IVA2018 jury.

In the end, the jury will select two global winners – one from ‘Daylight in Buildings’ and one from ‘Daylight Investigations’. The global winners will be announced at a gala dinner and each winning team will be awarded €5 000 to be shared between the team members and their teacher (€4000 for the student team and €1000 for the teacher).
